"Make a joyful noise unto the Lord..."
Music is integral to our worship. The church's largest choir, our congregation, sings at our services with enthusiasm and commitment. Our congregational singing draws on three different Episcopal hymnals, Taize chants, musical compositions from the Iona Community, and many other hymns gleaned from other denomiations. We enjoy learning and singing music from other cultures as well, often in their original language.
St. John's Choir leads us in worship at the Sunday 10am Eucharist service. The choir sings an anthem each Sunday during the academic school year. Their repertoire is diverse, ranging from Renaissance motets to contemporary compositions. Our services are also enhanced by instrumental soloists from our congregation and the Williams College community.
