Stewardship

Our Stewardship Ministry Team meets regularly to ensure that we are practicing year-round stewardship at St. John’s. We hope to lead the congregation toward not only raising more money for our outreach ministry, but also growing spiritually in the process. The St. John’s Outreach Budget is based on 10% of pledges received. In addition to pledging financial support, we encourage everyone to give generously of their time and talents. Welcoming visitors, cooking and delivering meals to those who need them, visiting parishioners in nursing homes, sharing the bounty of our church garden with food pantries, and volunteering in the community are a few of the ways our parishioners live generously.

The Fall Stewardship Campaign includes a theme and materials from TENS, The Episcopal Network for Stewardship. Using the theme, we invite parishioners of all ages to participate in a hands-on activity designed to make the campaign meaningful in a personal way. On four Sundays in the fall, we hear from parishioners who share their Stewardship Reflections with us and inspire us all to think about our own care of God’s gifts. May we all strive to be good stewards of our earth, our personal gifts from God, and our beloved St. John’s Parish.
